Melissa Meadows Marcum (Owner/Choreographer)

Melissa began dance at the age of three taking classes in tap and ballet, and later in jazz and baton. During her Junior High school years, she taught dance and baton for the Beverly Hills Youth Football League. In High School, she was a member of the Huntington High Pony Express Majorette Corps for 2 years and the Slight Touch Dance Team for 3 years. She began teaching again while attending college at Marshall University. In the fall of 2002, she opened Premiere Dance Studio. Melissa's primary focus is with preschool and elementary children teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Baton and Mommy & Me. She also enjoys choreographing outside the studio for area Theater groups and local high schools. She currently is working with First Stage Theater and Fairland High School. Melissa is married to her best friend, Tyler, and has two wonderful children, Katelyn and Ryan. The happy family is expecting a new addition in Jan. 2015! 

Kim Adkins

Kim teaches Baton classes at PDS. She attended Oceana High school, where she was a Majorette for 4 years and Head Majorette her senior year. She then  attended Marshall University receiving a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. While at MU, she twirled with the Marching Thunder in 1983 and 1984. Kim's daughter, Alexis, has danced with PDS since 2006. 

MaryBeth Freeman

MaryBeth began dance at age 11 yrs taking Jazz and Baton at Nancy’s School of Dance in Huntington, WV. In 1990-93, she attended Barboursville HS where she twirled as a Majorette and was named Head Majorette her Senior year.  After graduation, she attended Marshall University where she received a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Learning Disabilities. She also was a member of the MU Thundering Herd Majorette Corp in 1993-94. She currently teaches 4th grade at The Village of Barboursville Elementary School. She and her husband, Don, have 2 children, Robbie and Jillian.

Shea Goodrich

Shea began dancing at age 3 with ballet and tap and later took classes in gymnastics and jazz. She has danced on Huntington High School ’s Dance team, Christ Temple Church ’s Dance team, and has had classes at MU in tap, modern, folk, African drum, and Musical Dance Theatre. She began teaching tap at Premiere during her college and medical school years. Shea is a Pediatric Physician with Valley Health Systems and is from Huntington, WV. 

Alyssa Inboden

Alyssa began dance at the age of 3 years taking tap and ballet. She later took classes in tap, jazz, pre pointe, and hip hop. She is a graduate of Huntington High School where she served as a member of the HHS Highlander band on the Dance Team. During her undergraduate work at Marshall University, she was a member of the MU Marching Thunder Color Guard.  Alyssa graduates in December 2014 from Marshall University with a degree in Sr. Social Work. She is a Huntington native and enters her 6th year teaching at PDS.


Haley Maynard

Haley is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and native of Huntington. She began dancing at age 4, but spent her years of ballet with Ella Hay. Most recently, she danced with Nina Scattaregia of the Augusta Youth Ballet and in Wesleyan's dance program. During her teens, Haley was involved with First Stage Theatre Company and Huntington Outdoor Theatre, many times serving as dance captain, assistant, or choreographer. Before teaching at Premiere, Haley was employed by Alpha Delta Pi sorority in Atlanta, GA. She is in graduate school at Marshall University and is thrilled to be teaching at PDS for her third year.

Katelyn McGuffin

Katelyn is a Junior at Marshall University studying Communications in the Honors College and Dance as a minor. She enters her 18th year of dance having taken classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Baton, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and African Drum and Dance. She has been in several community theater musicals as well as many in her church and schools. She has directed choreography and skits for New Baptist Church's youth and children and for Premiere Dance Studio's Summer Dance classes. Katelyn teaches Lyrical and Hip Hop classes. 

Misty Williamson

Misty began dancing at the age of 3 at Charlotte’s Dance School in Morgantown, WV.  She took classes there for 13 years taking tap and jazz.   Misty earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from West Virginia University and a Master of Science Degree in Forensic Science from Marshall University.  She currently is a Forensic DNA Analyst at the Marshall University Forensic Science Center as well as an adjunct faculty member in the MU Forensic Science Graduate Program.  Misty has a daughter, Marra, who also shares her love for dance. 

Caitlin Wilson

Caitlin grew up taking dance at Lee's Studio of Dance in South Charleston. She has 19 years of taking classes in ballet, tap, lyrical, modern, jazz, hip hop, and Musical Dance Theatre and 8 years with dance competition and training. Caitlin taught Swing dance for competition teams, was choreographer for South Charleston High School's Show Choir for 2 years, and was a Hip Hop workshop teacher for 3 years. She joins PDS for her first year teaching Musical Dance Theater and Hip Hop. Caitlin is a cosmetologist at Enstyle Salon and Spa. She and her husband, Trevor, reside in Huntington. 

Kaitlynn Coe

Kaitlynn began dance in Parkersburg at Tina's Dance Studio at 2 1/2 years old. She took classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and modern. She was an assistant coach for classes there and was the Competition Team Captain her senior year. She was a twirler/flag girl for Parkersburg South High School and currently dances for Marshall University's dance company, aMUsed. Kaitlynn is a junior at MU studying Dietetics and plans to work in a related health field after graduation. She enters her first year at PDS teaching Modern and Hip Hop.
